A Night of Fun: The SENsible SENCO Quiz Night

Kicking off the festivities, the evening of February 13 featured the inaugural SENsible SENCO Quiz Night. This fun-filled event saw six teams of SENCOs competing for the coveted title of SENCO Team of the Year. The night was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and friendly competition, setting the perfect tone for the conference ahead.

Highlights of the quiz included a balloon modeling round, where teams showcased their creativity, and a challenging Widgit symbol round, testing participants’ knowledge of visual communication tools. Thanks to TTS, teams wrote their answers on vibrant neon boards, adding a lively touch to the proceedings. The ultimate prize, generously provided by Widgit, was a year’s subscription to their service, eagerly sought after by all participants.

Looking Ahead: SENsible 26

Building on the momentum of SENsible 25, plans are already underway for SENsible 26, scheduled for February 12-13, 2026, once again at the Crowne Plaza in Nottingham. The upcoming conference will focus on Planning, equipping SENCOs with the tools and insights necessary to design effective support structures for their pupils.

It was fantastic! I took something away from every session which I will be able to directly use in my daily practice. The networking opportunity was great and it was impossible not to feed off the passion in the room. Thank you!
